I offer therapy in English, Spanish & Portuguese.  I utilize different modalities, including  IFS (Internal Family Systems), Ego State, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I specialize in multicultural couples and provide Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT).  I am also trained in Gottman Level 1.  Therapy can be in your native language of Spanish, Portuguese or English.

Group Therapy

I facilitate workshops for Overeating / Emotional Eating and Entrepreneurship challenges affecting women.  A cost-effective, community-based solution.  Currently on hold during COVID-19.

I help my clients navigate through difficult times in their lives.  Some are facing a difficult problem, others have acquired unwanted habits and most have problematic relationships.  All of them want a change.  

My clients have all sorts of questions such as: “why does my partner act this way?”,  or “why do I react like this?”.  They have tried to solve problems on their own but things are not turning around fast enough.  They are simply stuck.

I spent most of my professional career helping companies.  I now help individuals and that is very fulfilling.  I like what I do and I hope you and I are a good fit for one other.

My Approach & Values

Family Therapists are often confused to be therapists only trained to work with families and couples.  Family Therapists also help individuals through a systemic lens.  This means that instead of only looking at ourselves and our internal feelings, we do that in relation to others. Other mental health disciplines hold different views.

My approach is evidence-based and I chose systemic modalities according to the client and the issue.   I am continually learning new therapies that are supported by research and peer review.

My values are those that support underprivileged communities, people of color, people of faith or lack of faith, LGBTQ+, and all those who do not subscribe to mainstream thinking.  My practice is inclusive and supportive of all.  I believe everyone has the right to equal opportunity and respect.
